DESCRIPTION:The Five Families Ensemble\, directed by Monk Rowe\, stretches the boundaries of the traditional chamber ensemble by combining sounds from each of the four instrument groups (brass\, woodwinds\, percussion and strings) with a fifth contribution from the human voice. \nFriday\, Feb 20 at 7pm\nThis Old Church\, 3926 Route 26\, Vernon Center NY \nAs anyone who heard them previously at This Old Church will tell you\, it will be a truly unique and memorable experience! Their repertoire ranges from Beethoven to Brubeck to the Blues\, as well as original compositions. The Five Families Ensemble appeals to audiences of all ages by combining stellar musicianship with an engaging and welcoming attitude. \nTickets are $20\, and will probably sell out. Plus\, live entertainment will be provided by the Hamilton College Jazz Combo! \nBenefiting 2 Good Causes: \n\nRestoration of a set of our historic 1885 stained glass windows\nVVS area Food Pantries\n\nGift Bags! Each guest will receive a gift bag including a limited edition commemorative item and other local goodies. \nRaffle! We’ll raffle off several gift baskets. Everyone will get a ticket as you enter\, and can purchase more. If interested in donating a gift basket\, let us know! \nArrival and Parking Details. Guests should arrive between 5:15 and 6:00 pm. Seating will occur promptly at 6:00 and the event\, including entertainment\, will end promptly at 8:00pm. Parking details below. \nWeather permitting\, guests will be chauffeured from the parking lot across the circle to the front door via horse and carriage! \nSuggested Attire is Fall Fancy\, or Fall semi-formal. We’ll leave it to you to best interpret what that means\, but dressier than normal. Add your own seasonal colors\, scarves\, hats\, and more! Awards will be given for the best representations of “Fall Fancy”. \nADVANCE TICKETS REQUIRED. Seating is limited to 120 guests.
